THIS SEASON... AT HOME
Summer - its Pentecost!
Pentecost means "fiftieth day" after Easter. For many, it
represents the birth of the Christian church by the power of the Holy Spirit. It
is also the day the church confirms its young people who have studied basic
Christian doctrine and affirm their faith before the church.
Winter - its Advent
Advent is a four week version of Lent which prepares us for the birth of
Christ celebrated at Christmas. Click the Advent button for more information.
Spring - its Lent
Lent is a six week period during which we prepare ourselves for the
resurrection of Christ celebrated at Easter. The early church considered Easter
the most important day of the year - much more important than Christmas.
